Yuri Yurovsky (1913-2008) is a representative Kievan painter of elder generation in the twentieth century. Being a landscape painter and master of still life, his technique at first seemed casual and yet masterfully arranged. The artist showed utmost sincerity and activeness with his extensive themes through out his career. And through his unique impressionistic style, people realize Yurovsky as a brilliant master of colors. For many years the artist had traveled through the Soviets and settled in USA; he painted, studied and made sketches there. All the experiences became the basis for his creativities; and it is through the creativeness, we can see the master in him.
The artist’s works exhibit the innate directness and his natural talent for masterful color. And until the end of his art career, Yurovsky still stays true to himself and to his belief. Yurovsky's paintings are widely collected in museums and galleries in the Ukraine and Russia; he was also a participant of over one hundred exhibitions in the former USSR as well as Japan, Italy, England, USA, France and many other countries. |
