The primary spirit of Mountain Art Foundation and Frank Lin Art Center is being the right window to show excellent Chinese artists’ works; therefore, we have long-term systematic collecting plans.

Besides looking for outstanding Chinese artists’ work, we try to search for what influenced Chinese contemporary art.  Russian arts, for one, directly impacted Chinese contemporary art.  And moreover, western artists such as Spanish Antoni Tapies, German Anselm Kiefer, Italian Sandro Chia, American Philip Pearlstein and French Bernard Buffet, directly or indirectly influenced Chinese contemporary art history.

We hope the exhibition will help people widen the view on the contemporary art, not just in mainland China, but around the world.  Furthermore, this should be a window for people to find a connection between western and Chinese contemporary art today.
